Ernesto was born in Santo Domingo, DR into a highly nautical family. His whole childhood consisted of weekend outings to Casa De Campo where the family boat was moored. He recalls how joyful and happy the boat made the family feel and knew instantly that he wanted to be around the maritime industry when he grew up.
In his teenage years he worked part time with his uncle whom owned a boat refit center on the island, they would purchase older boats and refit them to look and perform as a new boat. This passion kept on growing as he moved to Miami, FL at age 17 when he started attending FIU Business school. After graduating with his bachelors degree he went back to work in the boat service and repair sector, only now in Miami.
In 2017 Ernesto opened his own service and repair company in Miami and also joined MMG to become a yacht broker. It has been very beneficial to his clients who can count on warranty work and all other services performed by a person they trust. On the other side of the spectrum, his brokerage clients can rely on his immense arsenal of knowledge about most kinds of vessels, systems and what can be the best fit for each particular client.
